| The shot to the left shows the file structure for the
805 Managed Lanes project. For future projects and new users I'm
thinking of automating some folder and file creation and have some
questions pertinent to that:
SelectCaad should be changed to InRoads.
I think we're stuck with the "TEMP" folder and any user initials with
dgn's in them (changing paths will break reference links) for this
project.
For future project and users I'd like to change TEMP to "working"
(I'm not sure if that's a personal preference; "TEMP" to me is one step
above "Trash"). If we change the users folders to the Windows
login I may be able to automate creating new working folders for new
users (with any standard subfolders and files) and set up Project
Configuration files to automatically start MicroStation in the
Project/TEMP/User directory and set the Reference folders appropriately.
The downside is length of path name. |
