InRoads v8.9 Typical Section Training - Nov. 2

What to Expect

Format:

Introductory Yapping (Overview) followed by frequent short cycles of

• topical overview
• demo
• hands on lab

When: 10:00am - Friday, Nov. 2

Where:

Change:  We'll start off with a demo in the 3rd floor conference room and then move downstairs.

We'll hold the lectures near the OCE Plotter on the 2nd Floor, projecting onto the north wall.  We'll see if this is viable.

You may or may not want to roll a chair out. For labs, run back to your/cube office and we'll shout at each other.  if you've a laptop, you can set up in the open space. 

If you don't have a computer and no one will let you touch the commands for a bit during labs, we can do Q&A etc. during labs.

Bring your Computer?

You can bring your desktop, if you can find a place in the hall (and a power outlet (and a LAN drop, though you can work disconnected (make sure you have the data loaded))). 

Computer Requirements

• MicroStation v8 (licenses may be an issue, you can work in demo mode)
• InRoads v8.9 Installed (email IS for Install)

Dataset

1. Load the Building InRoads v8.9 dataset (data.exe, password: "v89gr8")
2. Unzip the files to the c:/ drive (respective folders will then be created in c:/train)
