From the Desk of Don Bloodworth, 1/14/08Dear Transportation Group, I hope to influence the Transportation Group to see the value of preparing good project exhibits. Technical CommunicationProject Exhibits (like this exhibit for Genesee/I-5) are extremely valuable to clients, subconsultants, and project teams because you can quickly visualize pertinent project information. Please take a moment to zoom into the PDF file. The clarity of this PDF drawing is impressive. I would like to thank Drew Olsen, Casey Lewis, and Jason Adriano for creating this exhibit. Parts of a Successful Exhibit
Marketing PurposeOne of the best marketing tools that we have are good project exhibits. Getting our logo and name out in circulation is important to develop a good reputation. Have you ever seen how City and Caltrans Staff mounts project exhibits up on the wall in their offices? Projects are won by reputation... before the interview even happens.
Therefore, building our Kimley-Horn brand of project exhibits become a necessary
ingredient in our future marketing. I will be encouraging Lead Designers and Project Engineers to create "world-class" project exhibits for every PDT meeting, every subconsultant meeting, every meeting with a client or potential client... every time we are involved in a meeting, we should bring one of our Kimley-Horn "world-class" project exhibits as a communication and marketing tool. Sincerely |
