Selecting Client Standards for MicroStation v8

What is a MicroStation Client?

This setting is global per machine.

Click on the links below to set a client active (it initiates a batch file):

•  v7+CalTrans D11 (the default and only v8 environment)

v7 (caveat emptor!)

• v7 CalTrans Imperial
• v7 CalTrans Metric
• v7 KHA-SD (Land default)
• v7 San Diego Water & WasteWater Facilities (CIP)

Changes do not go into effect until the next time you enter MicroStation.

What just happened?

A batch file created or overwrote a file in the local (C:/ drive) MicroStation v8 file structure with a single line:  _KHA_Client=<client name>.

This line is read later and reads a <client name>.cfg file in the M:/ drive config client folder.

This setting is global per machine, meaning that users sharing a machine will be sharing a setting and will have to fight over it.  If you change machines, make sure you update the MicroStation client.
