Status: Roadway Group Superset Configuration

  • We got a Roadway Level Library (it's automatically attached already)
  • We got an InRoads Preference file that conforms to it
  • We have preliminary inter-client translation tables for MicroStation
  • We're working on plotting...

12/21/07:

The Roadway Configuration (Superset) pen tables are at M:\CADD\CA\SD\Road\ustn\resources\plotting\roadway_superset.

I have an initial, untested multi-environment CalTrans Dropout Pen Table (CT_dropout_eps.tbl).  Please test it.  This may be the "seed" for the other variations.

12/20/07:

Preliminary setup of Translation .csv's. Note: there's a lot of detail remaining (bylevel to specified color. etc)

12/19/07:

I've got a preliminary rollout of the EPSuperset going.  Feel free to bang on it and provide me feedback

The leveling is the most volatile part of this.  The sooner we stabilize the convention and get a good "initial stable list" the sooner we can set up the plotting and the translation files.

Next up:

batch translations and plotting.

EPSuperset Level Library

I created a level library for the EPSuperset: (M:\CADD\CA\SD\Road\ustn\config\_kha_customizations\roadway_superset.dgnlib).  I'm currently using arbitrary colors for the BYLEVEL and Override values.  If someone wants to run through it and come up with a better color scheme, please let me know, you are welcome to it.

I added a line to the KHA .cfg file that includes this library as well as the CalTrans63 level library.

I've set up some filters.  If you like the idea of filters and want more, I can show you how to create them (I need to do some web pages for them...).

The Superset XIN

I am currently editing "civ_roadway_superset.xin" in the M:\CADD\CA\SD\Road\InRoads\Settings_Files folder.  Feel free to use it.

InRoads is currently referring to the new levels (active list: roadway_dgnlib.csv).

Note the Superset .xin it heavily "under the influence" of CalTrans.  The textstyles and cells are CalTrans.  In theory we could go completely generic, but we've other fish to fry first.

Caveats:

Horizontal Annotation Points might be flaky (those triangles w/ the dots in them may not show.  Please let me know).

Text now refers to CalTrans Text Styles, but perhaps too generically.  If some text doesn't look right (too small, not bold, not italic, not conforming to a specified style) please let me know so that we can change to the correct style or make a new one.
