Superset Plan of Attack

Every graphic for the Roadway Group should be conform to the following three level categories:

1. CalTrans63 (v7+)
2. Managed Superset
3. Orphans to be incorporated into the CalTrans63 or the Superset.

At this point we have the following high priority items:

• Clean up the CalTrans63 Level Library (better default Overrides, etc.)
• Develop a Superset Level Library so that InRoads Superset graphics don't come out "white" all the time
• Define a working Superset Level Scope
• Determine a Strategy for InRoads elements: ByLevel vs. "hardcoded" attributes.
• Determine a Strategy for "personal deviations" for the CalTrans Superset (Level Colors or Overrides, etc.).
• Plan Plotting Procedures, ensuring that Superset Plots properly w/o translating.
• Plan and Pilot an Orphan Cleanup Procedure (automating, if possible)
• Plan and Pilot a Superset-to-CalTrans63 translation for .dgn submittals.

Jeff's current (12/18) To Do list within this scope:

• Define an Initial Superset
  • post candidates for own levels (greater segregatabiltiy)
  • create an initial Superset Level List
  • propose Naming Convention choices with plusses and minuses
  • solicit feedback (include Steve's input vis-a-vis the "KHA Omnibus")
  • refine Level convention and scope
  • build Level/CSV font and level checker
  • seek buyoff
  • Reset InRoads to conform to the CalTrans/Superset configuration
• Build the Superset.dgnlib
  • get feedback for Override definitions
  • determine auto-update for superset vs. manual Update
  • include Filters
