What's New, November 26Brownbag today following Dennis's Van Buren Interpretive Dance. Topics:
New InRoads Workflows and ScreenCams
Superelevation Tables are setup for CalTrans EnglishPreference ManagementIn order for InRoads Preferences to be well managed (minimizing wasted effort) the process needs to be easy and well-coordinated throughout the team. There are a number of tasks that have to be simple, easy and reliable:
Current Status (11/26/07)I've finally figured out the XSL/T to segregate the user changes easily and reliably. I should be able to build and deliver an end-user front-end (Windows program) to "wrap" the above process in a couple of hours of programming. I still have to build the "stash merger" to allow users to put their personal and project customizations into the latest standards file. I think I'm over the hump on the XSL/T, the bulk of the time will be building the front-end as there is some logic options (specifically: ensuring well-formedness; preventing unwanted clobbering and providing options on the overwrites...). I should be able to incorporate previous updates from the group very soon.
Setting up regular "Interest Group" meetings (no fluff, all buff: no more than 15 minutes a pop)
