New InRoads Workflows and ScreenCams

Preference Management

Command Owners: please review your InRoads command preferences.  There are some candidates for incorporation that need review.  Suggested Techniques can be found here.

If you submitted a change see if it's in the new master.  There's a good chance that it isn't.  Part of this is that Xini Manager didn't necessarily output what you thought it did. It's fixed now.

Enhanced Productivity Superset

Every graphic for the Roadway Group should be conform to the following three level categories:

  1. CalTrans63 (v7+)
  2. Managed Superset
  3. Orphans to be incorporated into the CalTrans63 or the Superset.

At this point we have the following high priority items:

  • Clean up the CalTrans63 Level Library (better default Overrides, etc.)
  • Develop a Superset Level Library so that InRoads Superset graphics don't come out "white" all the time
  • Define a working Superset Level Scope
  • Determine Strategy for InRoads elements: ByLevel vs. "hardcoded" attributes.
  • Plan Plotting Procedures, ensuring that Superset Plots properly w/o translating.
  • Plan and Pilot an Orphan Cleanup Procedure (automating, if possible)
  • Plan and Pilot a Superset-to-CalTrans63 translation for .dgn submittals.

The Superset plan of attack will be documented here.

Interested Parties may still apply:

  • MicroStation Standards
  • Levels
    • Designing the Enhanced Productivity Superset (beyond CalTrans63)
    • Managing the Superset
      • A second .dgnlib for the extra level attributes
    • Conversion Procedures
  • Plotting
    • making sure plotting works (and is managed) for
      • Client Deliverables
      • Our Enhanced Productivity Superset
  • InRoads Standards
  • Engineering Improvement/Tools/QC
  • What else?
